1: First, what is a whitelist?#
There are two types: GTD (Guaranteed Whitelist) and FCFS (First-Come, First-Served), commonly known as oversubscribed whitelist.
In current Web3 blockchain projects, whether for NFT issuance or token ICOs, whitelists are generally used for sales. First, purchase (mint) is guaranteed through GTD, followed by a public sale phase.
For example: A project sells 5,000 NFTs, with a presale price of 0.1 ETH and a public sale price of 0.15 ETH. The advantage of the GTD guaranteed whitelist is that there is no need to rush; you have ample time to purchase NFTs at a discounted price.
Another example: If you obtain FCFS (First-Come, First-Served), and there are only 800 remaining, while the FCFS slots exceed 3,000, you will need to compete on speed, technique, and gas fees (transaction fees). Gas fees are similar to auction house fees, where the highest bidder wins— for instance, if someone bids 100 yuan and you bid 120 yuan, the miner will prioritize processing your transaction.
2: What is an NFT?#
✍️ In Chinese, it is called "非同质化代币" (Non-Fungible Token). In short, it is a digital asset based on blockchain technology, where each NFT is unique and non-interchangeable, and can be considered a digital collectible.
✍️ NFTs are recorded on the blockchain (such as Ethereum and SOL chains), with the blockchain serving as a public ledger, allowing anyone to query the ownership address and complete transaction history of NFTs, which cannot be tampered with or forged.

4. About Wallets:#
Wallets are the most critical aspect of Web3, concerning personal asset security. The registration process is generally consistent: install the plugin ➡️ set a password ➡️ back up the mnemonic phrase ➡️ complete registration.

A wallet is similar to a regular bank card, requiring a password for payment, but the difference is that blockchain wallets can be generated anonymously (no formalities required). Anyone who knows your mnemonic phrase or private key can transfer your assets.

Part Two (Intermediate)#
If you have read this far, it indicates that you have passed the beginner stage.
How to efficiently obtain a whitelist? Based on three years of experience, it is divided into 4 steps. Current commonly used methods in the community include: creation, activity, participation in events, and lotteries.
1. Creation:#
After entering the community, project parties often release NFT-related images. If you are good at drawing, you can create secondary works (refer to platforms like Xiaohongshu, Qiantuwang, etc.).
If you are not good at drawing, you can find a commissioned artist on Xianyu (about 50-80 yuan), ensuring clear communication of your needs.
Personal experience: There are often loopholes in the rules. For example, a popular project had the rule "Publish artistic creations to gain identity and participate in a battle royale lottery to win a whitelist." I obtained an identity by searching for images online and participated with multiple accounts, ultimately gaining about 10 whitelists. After the project launched, the price increased 20 times, with a floor price reaching 0.5 ETH.
2. Participate in Events:#
Use a broad net strategy. Suppose a project holds an event (such as singing, dancing, crafts, drawing), choose a field you are good at.
For example: If you are good at crafts, create 2-3 works for your main account, and distribute the remaining works with a secondary account (the secondary account needs to be active in the community).
Note: Utilize friends' specialties (such as asking a friend to record a song) to increase the probability of obtaining a whitelist.
3. Activity:#
The most time-consuming and labor-intensive method, requiring continuous activity in the community for several days. Establish a stable persona (avoid frequent name changes), so that the moderators (MOD) remember you and build relationships with community members.
4. Lottery (Luck-based):#
Purely relying on luck, winning by quantity. Participation channels include DC, Twitter, AlphaBot, and other communities.
